John and I are so sorry to be away and miss celebrating Anne's amazing life. She was such a good friend and even though she was a CEO and on lots of boards and busy with all of that she always find time to be with her friends, we will miss her . She was a very special woman, and you girls are lucky to have had her in your lives.
Those of us who  are fortunate to follow in her footsteps are  grateful for Anne’s generosity and positive leadership.  She left the world a better place and inspired us to attempt to do the same.  Thank you, Anne.  Marcia Lewis
Anne was a wonderful mentor, capable board leader, confidant, and friend.  Her steady leadership hand helped professionalize the REI board as the organization grew.  As a colleague on the Premera board, she set an example for constructive participation.  As CEO of the Seattle Foundation, she set a standard for giving back while giving efficiently.  Anne and Bob were always enthusiastic participants in outdoor adventures and I will miss her zest for life and adventure.  The lessons she shared in how to live a life of impact will live on through me and thousands of others.  Many thanks to Bob and the extended family for sharing Anne with us!

My deep condolences to the Farrell family. Anne was a valued colleague in my volunteer activities especially the IWF/WA and the WWF.  I will miss her.
I remember Anne as the very cool, and very young, Mom of my college roommate, Ginny.  She would come visit from Seattle and Ginny's whole being would brighten to have special time with her mother.  She was a very positive force in the world.  Love and peace to the family.
Anne and I went to high school together.  She was as lovely then as she has been in life.  A truly beautiful person.  She will be missed, leaving the Seattle area a better place.
