In loving memory of my dear, handsome and talented nephew. You came to the rescue after a deer ran into my car showing your kindness, care & concern while making sure I got home safely. From the time you were a young child saying ‘my one and only aunt’ to letting everyone know how well read you were. Around age 7 after being told there is a golden bald eagle you said there was no such thing because you read about it in a book. At a young age you would create amazing inventions. Learned how to sew from grandma. So many wonderful memories that will always be remembered and cherished forever. May you rest in peace in the ever loving arms of Jesus.
Although heartbroken, “The Lord is near the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” psalm 34:18
We were shocked to hear about Andrew's passing and just wanted to extend our deepest sympathies to the entire Martin family.
Although we did have the opportunity to directly share in Andrew's life, his sister Mghnon ( a neice, granddaughter) shared many loving situations wherein her brother always showed up to help and support her. We hope you'll be graced with comfort and peace during this difficult time.
Andrew was one of my students in freshman biology at SLU. He was a delightful young man, so bright and positive, always a smile on his face. I remember him well, and I am so sad to hear of his passing. Thank you for sharing the news of Andrew's loss with the SLU Biology community. My heart goes to your whole family; nothing can fill the void left by a young life that was taken too soon. I hope you find peace and meaning, going forward.
My heart breaks for you and your family. Just read Andrew's obituary, I ever knew him but yet am touched by the significance of his life, and the significance of his loss. God Bless You all.
I was absolutely heartbroken and shocked when I heard the news of Andrew's passing. Such a senseless tragedy that couldn't have happened to someone less deserving.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Dre was an incredibly vibrant, exciting guy. I met him a year ago when he joined the Milwaukee Barbarians, and I've never met someone with a bigger smile.
He'll be missed by everyone on our team, on and off the field. With you.
As others who knew Andrew I'm extremely hurt and confused by this situation and my condolences and prayers go to his immediate family... I first met Andrew when we were about 13 years old in Glen Hills. He was skating by my house with another friend. Almost instantaneously after meeting we became best friends. We'd spend summers skate boarding or biking around the city or playing video games and spending the night at other friends' houses. He flew out to visit me with another friend in Los Angeles and the same friend and I would visit Andrew back in Glendale or Chicago over the years. Even though Andrew was a few months younger than me I looked up to him for how intelligent and confident he was in life. He was truly an amazing man, and as scripture says, "there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother" Andrew was such a friend to me. I'll never forget the great times and memories we had. Love and miss you, brother.
Andrew (Bushes) will always be remembered as the gentle giant of the group. The one with a huge smile and heart to match. Always ready to laugh and ensure those around him were well taken care of.
I haven’t spoke to Andrew since we graduated high school as our lives went in different directions but as with other members of the Knights football Team i considered Andrew a brother and will miss him dearly. RIP good sir.
The nicest person with so much energy and brought our intimate friend group the best memories we could have ever had! I am so deeply saddened by this loss and so sorry to Andrew’s amazing family, friends and the community! This was truly a devastating loss for everyone! May his memory forever be a blessing!
