Alethia's obituary
Alethia Claire Nosek (38) passed away on September 23, 2021 in Longwood Florida after a courageous fight with brain cancer. She is survived by her children Brandon (about to turn 14) and Kaylee (11) , whom she loved with all of her heart. These kids were the joy of her life.
Alethia was born in the Twin Cities metropolitan area as one of four children to Esther Stainer-Walner and Dean Arthur Nosek. Her siblings, Jeremiah, Seráh and Josiah (her twin) remained close with Alethia throughout her life, all having lived with Alethia at one point in time during their adult lives.
Alethia was married to and later divorced Brandon Thomas. During their marriage they introduced Brandon and Kaylee into the world. Allie was very artistic and creative. In fact, even in her last few months shipments of paint brushes, drawing pencils and tablets were frequently delivered to her bedside, as Allie continued painting and drawing even as her arms and hands started failing. Alethia went to high school at the Perpich Center for Arts Education and went on to her earn a BS in Computer Science from Brooks College in Long Beach, California. She held various marketing and graphic design positions throughout her life and loved being able to apply her passion to her work life. Recollecting Alethia’s volunteer work reveals the size of her heart and love for so many people. She committed time to and cared about a variety of causes and issues, including various kids’ organizations, animal welfare, civil rights and social action, humanitarian aid and relief, poverty alleviation and social services. And she enjoyed assisting her dad by coordinating various church activities.
Alethia Claire Nosek was loved by so very many and will be deeply missed.
