Al's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Albert "Al" Puglisi. Al was born on October 2, 1949, and passed away too soon on June 2, 2024 at the age of 74 after living with Lewy Body Dementia for about 4 years. With his warm, friendly, electric, funny, and loving nature, Al greatly impacted those around him.
Al was best known for his vibrant personality that could light up any room and it was not only due to his colorful outfit choices, quirky hats, or his signature long spiked-up hair. His laughter was contagious, and his spirit was always beaming with kindness and happiness. Al could grab anyone's attention with his captivating stories, ridiculous jokes, funny faces, fictitious words and sayings, or completely made-up dance moves. He was a passionate musician, having fearlessly chased his dreams in the music industry as a teenager, where he truly left his mark on the hearts of those he shared his talents with. Yet, his most cherished accomplishment was the beautiful family he created.
Al was not only an actual rock star but he was also a rock star husband and father. His impactful life and memories will eternally live in the hearts of his dearest wife Lynn, their son Nico, and their daughter Nina. He was so effortlessly an amazing husband and father and he was so incredibly proud of them. He loved his family so deeply and worked incredibly hard for everything they had. Al's laughter, life lessons, gentle hugs, early morning breakfasts, and late-night dinner conversations will forever echo in their lives, guiding and comforting them.
His legacy is one of unending kindness, love, warmth, and smiles. The energy he radiated will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate to have known him. His memory will continue to inspire us all, acting as a guiding light of joy, love, and perseverance.
Those wishing to express their condolences are invited to contribute to Al's family during this difficult time. Donations will be used to support Al's wife, Lynn while navigating medical expenses, organizing a final resting place, and planning a celebration of life. The family also intends to fundraise and support the Lewy Body Dementia Association in Al's honor. The family deeply appreciates all acts of kindness and sympathy shared in Al's memory.
We honor Al's life and musical legacy with memories of his infectious and crazy personality, unconditional love, and bright spirit that he exhibited in all aspects of his life. He will be deeply missed but his beautiful life will never be forgotten.
