كان رجلاً فريداً بكل معنى الكلمة، تميّز في حياته بقوة هادئة وثبات راسخ، مما بثّ الطمأنينة في نفوس كل من حوله. كان وجوده ملاذاً آمناً، هادئاً، متزناً، وإنسانياً للغاية.

عاش حياته بوعي ونزاهة، وكان قدوة حسنة له أكثر من كونه قدوة حسنة. أهدى ابنته إحدى أعظم هداياه: إيمانه الراسخ بحدسها، وكرامتها، وحقوقها كامرأة. ساهم توجيهه في صقل شجاعتها، ووضوح رؤيتها، وثقتها بنفسها.
