Some called us the fellas before most of us pledged.  Brothers from different backgrounds with one thing in common, a love for each other.  Pushing each other to be the best by holding each other to a higher standard.   Thanks for being the Standard my Brother - Even in your passing and our sadness, we all get your message.

I am so incredibly sad to hear about Aaron!  He was also so genuinely kind (and brilliant!) in business school.  Sending hugs to his family.
My sincerest condolences to Aaron’s family. Aaron was a uniquely thoughtful and wise mentor to me as I had the honor of working under his supervision during my first internship two years ago. I am deeply saddened to hear the news of his passing, as well as incredibly grateful to have experienced his unwavering support and generous guidance during such a formative time in my life. He was the kind of person where if he was in your corner, you knew everything was going to be alright. He will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss! Professor Hackett was such an incredible guy, and I had the pleasure of taking two of his courses just last year during my time in the Scheller MBA program. I will forever remember his lessons, and I’m so grateful for the time I had with him. Sending thoughts and prayers to the family and entire Scheller Community.
My condolences to Professor Hackett's family, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of getting to take 3 of his classes through Georgia Tech and will forever remember his impact on my education.
I was so saddened to hear the news of Aaron's passing.  I am holding your family in my thoughts and prayers.  May his memory be a blessing to all those he loved, taught and cared for.

I overlapped with Aaron and Darrel at business school and when I returned to Atlanta years later, I was pleased to learn that Aaron was here too. We would run into each other in the Target parking lot or just outside a restaurant or someplace where we did not expect to see the other. We’d laugh and talk about how we should grab lunch - and actually do it instead of just talk about it; how we should introduce our spouses - because they had so much in common; that we should make the time.

Aaron brightened the world with his positivity and his kindness and his great laugh. I can picture us now waving to each other from our cars as we passed each other driving.

Running into Aaron always brightened my day. I know how much he must have brightened the lives of those around him.

Condolences and my deepest blessings to Ingrid, their daughters and son, Darrel and the extended Hackett family.

I am so sorry for your loss. May the  love you have shared continue to nourish your heart during the most difficult time. May you be surrounded by those who love you.

We are so sorry for the loss of Aaron and hope the memories of him bring you comfort. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
Aaron was a trusted colleague and friend. We were both teaching faculty in the marketing area at Georgia Tech's Scheller College of Business having both been in brand management at best-in-class marketing companies (Aaron at P&G and me at Coca-Cola).  As such, we were kindred brand spirits and had many enriching conversations about "who did it better" - P&G or Coke.  Aaron was a wonderful colleague - a true superstar in the classroom and an asset to the Marketing area at Georgia Tech.  Students and colleagues loved him, and he is truly irreplaceable. Words can't describe how sorry I am for your loss. My heartfelt prayers and condolences to Ingrid, the children, and the larger Hackett family.

My heart goes out to Ingrid, Aaron’s children and the whole Hackett family.  I am shocked and saddened by Aaron’s sudden passing.

Aaron’s combination of intelligence, kindness and humility were extraordinary and I feel fortunate to have been able to call him a friend. He was a great adviser and mentor to my daughter, Meg, who benefitted greatly from his guidance.

Aaron will be greatly missed.

My sincere condolences to Ingrid and the Hackett family and friends.  Aaron was such a smart and humble man - he just seemed to know a lot about everything and was immeasurably gracious in sharing his knowledge.

He made an impact on all he met.

May God’s hand of mercy cover you.

I’m grateful for the privilege of knowing Professor Hackett and benefiting from his teachings during my time at Scheller. As a Black MBA student, Professor Hackett represented a milestone for me as my first Black Professor, ever. Witnessing his presence was both motivating and inspiring.

I had the opportunity to take three courses with him. I appreciated Professor Hackett's support and humor in class, as well as his personal encouragement for me to pursue opportunities outside of my comfort zone. His influence on me and my classmates is immeasurable. He will be greatly missed.

My prayers are with Professor Hackett’s family and friends during this difficult time, knowing that "the Lord is close to the brokenhearted." May God grant you strength, peace, and sound minds now and in the days to come.

So sorry for your loss.  Aaron was a great man.  Prayers for your family.
Aaron will be SO missed in the Scheller IT Services department.  He was literally my favorite customer, always so kind and easy to support.  May God comfort and strengthen the hearts of who knew and loved Him.  I am profoundly sorry for your loss.
Aaron was a very knowledgeable and supportive colleague at Georgia Tech and I'm saddened to learn of his passing.   Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.  Sincere condolences and God bless.
My condolences to Ingrid and Aaron's family. May God provide the strength that you need during these difficult days. 🙏🏽

Aaron, you will be deeply missed…

We served on the AIS board together and quickly bonded over our shared passion for marketing and our commitment to DEI. Your humble confidence, smiling eyes, and warm embrace made it a pleasure to connect, even if only a few minutes, every time I saw you at school.

I can only imagine the grief for those that were much closer to you. We are all fortunate to have walked with you, for you brightened our lives with every interaction.

Ingrid and family, please know that Aaron was deeply admired by many, even those of us who only had short interactions with him. He was truly a blessed person. I am so very sorry for your loss.

To Darrel and to Aaron’s whole family, I am so sorry to hear this news. May he rest in peace, and may you all be comforted by loving memories.

The world lost a beautiful human being. I’ll always remember Aaron fondly for his kindness, warm smile and positive energy. May he rest in peace.

My heartfelt condolences to the Hackett family.

I feel devastated for your and our loss. Aaron was a great man by any measure. I cannot believe he is gone. I’m so sorry.
