I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Aaron Hackett and offer my deepest condolences. Professor Hackett is the best teacher I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. I always found joy in his classroom, and he became my favorite professor. I took the Marketing Consulting Practicum this semester simply because I knew he would be teaching it. This school year with Professor Hackett has been an invaluable experience. Every class and meeting, Professor Hackett always had a smile on his face. It was a smile that I looked forward to every Monday and that I will always miss. As great of a professor as he was, I know he was an even better man. I am forever indebted to Professor Hackett for his guidance and support. I am so grateful to him for everything he did for me and taught me. I am so grateful to you, his family, for sharing him with us, his students.

With loving thoughts,

Alex Brewington

Aaron was in town for a track meet with his kids. It was great to see Aaron.

I worked with Aaron at P&G for years.  We worked on the Pringle business and Aaron introduce me to Fantasy Football.  After we had both separated from Procter & Gamble, Aaron got me hired on at the one Care company in Atlanta.

There are very few people that I kept in contact with from my Procter&Gamble days, but Aaron was one of them.   I remember he and I used to have a Fantasy Football podcast. He was able to accumulate tens of thousands of followers in the early days of Twitter.  People coming to the HackHype page for Fantasy Football advice.

Aaron and I communicated often if only briefly.   I remember when his oldest daughter got excepted to Stanford.  He was so proud, but in his humble way.

I never heard him brag about anything.  I never saw him lose his temper.  I never heard him talk negatively about anyone.   he was so positive and encouraging always.  A quietly humble man. A quietly confident man.

The world is going to miss Aaron Hackett. So many of us are processing, trying to make sense of it all.  Ingrid you guys are in our prayers.

Aaron and I worked together a decade ago. I am devastated to learn of his passing. He was a great man. Sincere condolences to his family. Know that he was greatly respected and appreciated.
No parent never want to bury their child.  I know your heart is heavy but God needed your son to work for him now.  I am praying for the family because I have a son and I can't imagine how my life would be without him.  Your son will forever be with you.

My sincerest condolences to Aaron’s family and loved ones.  Lifting you up in prayer.

Sincerely,

Norman Watkins

My condolences to Aaron's family. I was fortunate to be able to both work with him and take several of his classes where I learned so much. He was such an inspiration to me both career wise and just who he was as a person. May he rest in peace.
Sending my condolences to the Hackett family in this time. We will continue to pray and remember Aaron fondly. He will definitely be missed.

Please accept my thoughts and prayers for all Aaron’s friends and family members. I served on the AIS board with him and knew him as always volunteering his time and efforts to make the school a dynamic place. I feel blessed to have crossed paths with someone like him who was an example of what community service and volunteer work truly is.

Aaron,

Words cannot describe the pain I have in my heart for your loss. This news sends devastating shock waves every hourly. You are a man of faith, a builder of friends, and a history of laughs.  You will always have a special place in my heart. And I am so sorry that I let so many years go by without preserving and enhancing the bond we shared.

To Ingrid and the Hackett family, our condolences. May God grant you strength and peace.

Lovingly,

LaMarr and Diahna Buggs

I am so sorry, sad and still in shock. Aaron was truly special. I have such great memories of our days at P&G. And even though many years have passed, they are still as present in my mind and heart as they were then. Sending so much love and light to Ingrid, the Hackett children, Darrel, Lisa and the entire family. Praying for you as you forge forward. May Aaron’s beautiful spirit live on in each of you.  ❤️
I’m writing this with tears rolling down my cheek. I can’t even begin to express how much gratitude and love that myself and the GT community has for Professor Hackett. Professor Hackett warmed my heart in so many ways. As the club advisor for GTMA, he always brought passion, kindness and wisdom to the table. He was a mentor and role model to me and all of our club members. I loved having the chance to work with him so directly as President. Every conversation that I had with him ended in excitement, passion and words of affirmation. He was such an amazing support system, professor and mentor. I am so grateful to have worked with him to build a flourishing student organization. He is someone that I look up to and I will forever cherish the time that we worked together.
I am writing this message with a heavy heart and profound sadness. Professor Hackett, who was not only my marketing professor last year but also my mentor and coach in the Create-X program, has left an indelible mark on my life. It was just yesterday that I was preparing to share the exciting news of my website launch with him, a milestone he played a significant role in helping me achieve. The news of his unexpected passing has left me deeply sorrowful.  Please accept my sincerest condolences for this immense loss. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and our entire GA Tech community during this difficult time.
Grief is not a sign of weakness, not a lack of faith. It is the price of love.

Professor Hackett had quickly become my favorite professor at Scheller. His dedication to his students and making sure we truly understood his content was unmatched. I was excited to work more with him for the NBMBAA conference and learn more from his brilliant mind. My condolences to his family, you’re all in my prayers. Thank you for sharing him with the Scheller community. ❤️
