William Frederick Marlette

William “Bill” Frederick Marlette, 73, of San Diego, California, passed away on October 23rd, 2019 at Palomar Hospital in San Diego, Ca.

The funeral service will be held on November 18th, at 1:30 pm at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego. Pastor David Plank, retired U.S. Navy Chaplain will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Trident Society.

William was born July 19th, 1946 in Tracy, Minnesota to William H. Marlette and Felicia O. Marlette. He graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1964 And had a successful career in the United States Navy, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. He served the United States for over 30 years and loved our country and what it stood for. William married Chun Ja Marlette on December 30th, 1968. They raised 5 children together and have 11 grandchildren.

William ultimately called San Diego home after retiring from the United States Navy and served his community with his whole heart. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and assisted with feeding the homeless on a daily basis by delivering bread from various grocery stores to Saint Vincent de Paul every morning before work. In his spare time, William enjoyed hosting a radio show about Bigfoot and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Chun Ja Marlette of San Diego, California, and his 5 children, John Marlette, Kenny Adams, Jerold Adams, Elaine Megrditchian, and Antoinette Campa. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Felicia O. Marlette and his Father, William H. Marlette.
