Bill's obituary

William Joseph Reed, 85, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on January 21, 2022 after a short battle with Covid19.

William was born on April 27, 1936, to Emile Joseph and Ima Mae Reed in Teague, Texas . After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, he went on to study engineering at the University of Texas.

After graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy, first active duty and then in the reserves until he retired. He had a long career as a Civil Engineer, working as a Safety Engineer.

While on active duty, he met Mary Ann Seiberlich, and they wed in 1962, going on to have three daughters, Theresa Reed Davis, Barbara Joan Truesdell, and Jacqueline Suzanne Reed.

After retiring in 1993, William and Mary Ann spent their free time traveling in their Airstream and cruising where the Airstream couldn't take them.

William was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ann. He is survived by his daughter Theresa, daughter Barbara and her husband Rod Truesdell, and daughter Jacqueline Reed. Grandchildren include Ada and Sarah Rosenthal, Hannah Rose Truesdell, Emily Truesdell, Patrick Reed Truesdell, Joseph Robert Davis, Elizabeth Claire Davis and Benji Davis.
