Victor Castillo Simoes, loving and cherished son of Adelio and Hetty Simoes, beloved brother of Joseph and Maria Cristina, passed on May 6th, 2021. Victor was the guiding light and strength of the Simoes family.

Victor accomplished more in his 34 years than most do in a lifetime. He was a graduate of Boston College, received an M.B.A. from Northwestern Kellogg, and worked currently as a Senior Manager at Amazon in Seattle. Prior to working at Amazon, Victor resided in Chicago and was instrumental in initiating two healthcare startups, Innoblative and Edge Surgical.

Victor's greatest love was for his family. He adored his brother and sister and helped set them on their career paths by selflessly guiding them. He loved his parents and grandparents beyond measure, always calling his parents several times a day and checking in with his grandparents daily. He loved all manner of family gatherings. He was a loyal friend and nurtured his friendships throughout life.

Victor was an avid traveler and has seen the world, visiting more than 26 countries in his short life. Despite his penchant for visiting far-flung places, he always returned home to his safe harbor of Northport, NY.

He had recently met the love of his life, his soulmate, Rayssa. They had been planning their wedding and future together the night he passed. The love he shared with Rayssa is hugely comforting to his family as they know he passed an extremely happy man. Together they had found a bit of heaven on Earth. He will be forever missed.
