Thomas donated his body to science. We will honor him, his service to our country and celebrate his life at a private, (invitation only) Memorial Service (date to be decided) with close friends and family only. Thank you for remembering our Dad. As a young an idealistic young man, he had no idea what the worst war in history had in store for him. He came back from war and married my Mom just a few years later. Together, they were dreamers, romantics and lovers of children. They had nine children whom they both loved very much. Some say they were not equipped to have so many children, yet we are ALL so happy to be alive and well to celebrate my Dad and his life works. He was a prolific writer, finding humor in thousands of limericks that he wrote and beauty and music in the world in his more serious poems and songs. The imagery in many of his poems is remarkable and the rhythm in his songs touches the soul. We know that the world will also celebrate the beauty he has created through the written word as we publish his work. Where there is evil and war, some will search for the best in mankind while struggling with the reality that cruelty, hatred and jealousy exists in us all to some degree. Dad had no tolerance for the unkindness around him and it was only through his writings and his children that he found comfort. He was vulnerable in the way that an artist has to be in order to carve a message bigger than himself, a message of universal truth. Our love for you, Dad is everlasting. God Bless!
