Dear Linda,

I wish so much that I could be with you at Tom’s Memorial to help celebrate his amazing legacy and life well spent. Unfortunately I have an obligation that I cannot reschedule. But I want you to know that I will be with you in spirit. Doug and I will be donating to the Disabled American Veterans in Tom’s name. Please know that I love you and miss you. Love, Carolyn and Doug

I am so happy to have known TJ. He was my skipper and flew with him many hours. He said something to me I doubt he would remember but I think about it always. We were on the carrier pulling out of San Diego for my first cruise, he put his hand on my shoulder and smiled and said “Mr Poland… the world is about to get a whole lot smaller.”
Best CO during my tour with HS-4 always a kind person you’ll be missed Sr.!
What a wonderful man.  Plain and simple.  A wonderful Husband and father.  Quite a legacy …
I remember how handsome Tom was on the day he married Linda and how pleased he was to have her as his bride. That never changed.

Dear Linda, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know you and Thom spent many happy years together and you will have those beautiful memories forever.

Oh Linda--I am so sorry to hear this.  Thom received the best loving and care anyone could give, and I know he will be sorely missed, and he will miss and remember you always, where he is.

We will be out of town the week of his memorial, otherwise we'd certainly attend.

Love and miss you!

Andrea Howard
