In memory of Mike Boyett

Please contribute to the T. Mike Boyett Memorial Scholarship fund.

Mike Boyett’s architectural legacy is visible throughout the city of Amarillo. Every Sunday, thousands of believers worship in church buildings he imagined and designed, including several additions to Paramount Baptist Church.

Every weekday, thousands of Amarillo schoolchildren attend P.E. classes in the elementary school gyms he designed in the 1980s.

Mike was passionate about creating buildings and sacred spaces in the Texas Panhandle that were just as beautiful as they were functional.

To continue his legacy, our family is working to endow a scholarship fund for local students pursuing degrees in architecture. This will be available to graduating AISD high school seniors and administered by the Amarillo Area Foundation.

If you have worshiped in one of the sanctuaries he imagined, bought Dr. Pepper at a Toot’n Totum he helped renovate, or been struck by a dodgeball in any of the boxy metal gyms he designed, we would love for you to contribute to his legacy.

If you'd rather not give online, we suggest donations to the Mike Boyett Memorial Scholarship Fund at Amarillo National Bank (P.O. Box 1, Amarillo, TX 79105).

Thank you for helping us honor our father, our Pops, and our favorite architect. Contribute  Right arrow
Funds are being collected and disbursed by Jason Boyett, Mike's son.
