Memories & condolences

Traci M I just wanted to let everyone know how much I loved JMAC!! This is his mother and we so appreciate all the kind and even crazy things that everyone has said about Shalit. He had a great sense of humor that we all shared. I really did not know much about his streaming family but have learned so much since his passing. He was an incredible son and brother and was always so full of life. I am not sure how we will live without him but we do hold in our hearts that we will see him again!!! Thanks to all that will keep his memory alive and all the laughs that you brought to him 😘

Pizza Plz You were my best friend, my mentor, and a leader in my life. You showed me how to live life with an incredible amount of grace. I will miss you every day for the rest of my life man. I created this page but have not been able to write anything because of the pain it brings to have to think about your passing at all. Jmac, I will forever be in debt to you for the way you changed my life for the better. You brought a smile on everyones face , not just in person but through your streams as well. Above all else, you were the most talented individual I have ever been around, and you taught me everything I know about writing software, which has landed me countless jobs. Words cannot express how many people loved you and how many lives you changed through your happy and caring personality. Truly the greatest person I have ever been around in my entire life, and you will never be forgotten! I love you man!

Greg James Beam I miss you fren, I know you have been looking out for me down here. I love you and I'll see you when God calls me home.
Dana Solomon Thank you to Adam West for posting the link, I've been wanted to say my condolences to his family because they should be so proud cause they raised such a great man who impacted so many in such a short period of time. His time was short lived but he definitely lived it to the fullest and his impact will ripple out and on as no one will forget everything he did and how awesome of a man he was. For real, he was a truly a stand up dude and for that, I wanted to show some love and again STAND UP for Shalit, just as I did when he got a strike on his channel, and I woulda done it again without a doubt because I'm glad I did. We became friends over it and had a mutual respect as fellow and devote JLP fam and streamers alike. Love you bro and God bless you, your family, and all the fam who came to speak some final words to Shalit that we wish we could be saying to him right now. Just reminds me of that quote "if you were about to die and had time for one phone call, whom would you call? What would you tell them? And Why aren't you calling and telling them?!?!" Paraphrased. Tell your loved ones you love them, while you still can, you never know when its your turn to return to the Lord almighty. RIP brother 🙏
AmfirstVibe I've been watching a lot of Shalit's old streams, and one thing that stands out is that he never puts people down (well, excluding some choice women online and federal informants). He never picked on us, no matter how much we insulted him, and even during Twitter wars he didn't take sides. I hope that other people see the same when they find his old streams and tweets, that they remember him for his humor and kindness.
Gent Lemann Shalit just had something you don't see much in this world. He genuinely could make us laugh. He could roll with the jokes and he could take whatever was dished back to him. I respected him more than I do a lot of people. He was a friend, a brother in arms on this here internet. We may never have met face to face, but he will always be a brother to us all. Shalito, rest in peace, friend. Save some chicken tendies and ranch for us.

Terrorwave Groyper To Traci, Shalit's mother.

Thank you for the gift of such a great person we all came to know as Shalit. Stay strong and know that your son and his impact made countless people around the world feel united and full of hope. Whether through a small interaction in passing or a deep conversation, he was a strong guy with good advice who had much more on his plate than any of us realized. Hearing the news of his passing certainly cast a grey cloud, mentally, but I think he would have wanted us to keep schmooding and vibing, so that I shall do. Much love from your groyper friends and I hope and pray that you can find peace.

Shalit,

Thanks for everything, brother. You will be missed eternally. We love you and the pain of this news is made easier only by knowing that you are now with God. We will do our best to carry the torch in your honor and I hope that you can look down on us one day with joy and pride. Love ya man.

NAPTOON Shalit's legacy is one of inspiration. Despite a health issue in 2019, he persevered, refusing to give up on himself. Through streaming, he built a community of thousands of followers who enjoyed spending time with him, whether he was watching streams, working, hanging out, or all three at the same time. As a result, Shalit lived his life to the fullest, with many friends to share the journey. We all can learn from his example. Much respect to Shalit. He will be missed.
Nathan (Eternal Boomer/Nathanicus/Dayoftherake) Smith Much love to his family. There is no doubting that he positively impacted a lot of people.

Offensive Saint This has taken a long time for me to get to write, so here it goes..
I miss Shalit so much. I have never grieved so hard over someone I knew online. I've had a hard time not thinking or praying about all this. I talked to him through the chat and twitter since January this year, back when he would literally read every chat comment out loud. That was special to me. He was the most accepting streamer, and was fun to talk to about anything. The laughter, good vibes, and knowledge this guy brought to us was unlike any other. He was the best dlive streamer, and best sh*tposter on twitter; now twitter is less funny without him.
One of the funniest streams ever was when he patrolled a snapchat girl live for all the chat to see, we were all having so much fun with him. Another great time was the 2nd night of the Minneapolis riots, when shalit played joker soundtrack while the city just burned in the night, was so insane. Shalit also didn't hate on or ban most of anyone, which made him a drama free place of refuge. Also, I hold as precious memory the early days when Shalit and I would troll Gar. The roasting was great and never let up when it moved to twitter. So many good memories, like shalit being asleep on stream with all of us worried for him and his neck. There was also this beautiful video on yutube of the JLP show, a guy named Bobby called in and said some powerful words about Shalit. Dag gummit, these and many other good memories shall stay with me; I will never forget this man. Gd bless you Shalito, I love you man, and look forward to running da op in heaven with you and Jesus. Peace be with you
Psalm 112:6 Surely the righteous will never be shaken;
they will be remembered forever.
Alexis S. May the road rise to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rains fall soft upon your fields. And… my dearest friend… until we meet again may the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand...
I’ll love you forever my Dearest Shalit
Anthro M. Shalit was so kind so genuine so hilarious and called up to heaven too damn early. Truly a bright shining light in our community. My thoughts and prayers are with his family now. Shalit will be in our hearts and funny bones forever
Midwest Shalit made exceptional content and was one of the funniest people I've ever interacted with. Most importantly, he was one of the kindest people ever, period. He was always kind to me and everyone I knew. Although his life was tragically cut short, he ultimately had everything he ever needed: love of friends, love of family, love of country, and love of God.

I wish I knew him better, but I'm lucky to have ever lived alongside this great man. We will never forget you Shalit.
Theater T "Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed-" - 1 Corinthians 15:51

I first started watching Shalit's streams back in the spring, as he covered the riots tearing through our cities. He provided much-needed reassurance that I wasn't alone in feeling the way I did about the state of the world, and helped me to channel my emotions into my faith in the Lord. Throughout a lockdown designed to make us all feel atomized and alone, Shalit was able to instill a sense of brotherhood and solidarity among his viewers.

The world is a lesser place in his absence, but I'm confident he's doing better now than any of us could imagine. I hope to meet him someday. Thank you to his family for sharing him with the world.
