I met Rose at our Tai Chi practice at University of South Florida .  We met every Saturday morning at 8 am to practice, rain or shine.  I admired Rose the most, she drove from Tarpon Spring to Tampa.   At 45 min trip each way.
3 things I learned from Rose Pu.
1. Rose was a very intelligent and kind person with a warm heart for her friends.
2. Rose was very persistent in improving herself mentally and physically. Ex. She practiced Tai Chi every day for over 20 some years. She read a lot.
3. She was a fighter, keeping het goals clearly in mind fighting cancers, repeatedly driving a long distance from Tarpon Springs to Tampa for breast cancer treatment. Defeating cancer twice until age 94.

What a remarkable life-I only knew Rose during her latter years but admired her dedication, drive, zest for life, and love of her family.  An incredible woman and I feel blessed to have known her even a little bit.

For many years Rose was part of the West University's Senior Center's meditation group.   Her positive attitude, wisdom and kindness were an inspiration to all of us and to everyone she met.  I didn't know her life story but am deeply impressed at how she could continually overcome life's challenges.  She was a very special person!  Thanks for sharing her story with us.  Condolences to the family.

I’ve often wondered about Rose’s history, thank you for writing such a lovely summary of her experiences. She truly has lived an amazing life and accomplished much during her time. As a neighbor, I will miss seeing her walking the blocks. Her spryness & style will be what I remember most.
Rose married the same year I was born so I have known her for over 70 years. As a distant relative who was also in Texas, we visited  her and always found a wonderful and gracious host. We reconnected as my father  Hsi Ching Teng was in a nursing home in Dallas. My wife Lily and I enjoyed visiting her and her daughter Georgia in Houston. I remember our last visit in June 2022 and was struck by how gracious and intelligent she was. I will cherish my memories of this wonderful relative.

Rose was an amazing woman, she once told me that her secret to a long life was staying positive!
