Renae's obituary

Renae Van Wyhe, 33, of Miami passed away suddenly after a car accident. Her family is shocked and deeply saddened by her loss.

Renae was born on May 27, 1988 to Galen and Kathy Van Wyhe in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduating from Collierville High School in 2006, she attending Baylor University on a track and academic scholarship and majored in math. She also attended Christians Brother University and obtained her MBA. Following Christian Brothers she attended the University of Memphis to take pre-med courses. She then returned to Texas and completed medical school at Baylor Medical School in Houston, Texas. She pursued her dream of becoming a Radiation Oncologist in Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital and was entering her fourth year of residency at the time of her death.

During her busy time as a resident. She loved helping young women pursue the medical field. She loved fashion and was a bright and kind individual to all she met. She leaves behind her father, Dr. Galen Van Wyhe, her mother Kathy Van Wyhe, her brother Will Van Wyhe, her brother Nicholas preceded her in death April 30, 2021. .

Anyone who knew Renae, knew that she was deeply driven . She had an immense passion for cancer research and was always a source of positivity. Her family and friends will miss her more than words can say.

The family requests that a donation to Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) be made in her honor.
