Obituary
G. Reginald Daniel, Ph.D., was a much loved professor of Sociology at UCSB , as well as a true pioneer in the field of Critical Mixed Race Studies. A mentor and inspiration to legions of scholars and activists, Reg authored several books including More Than Black? The Professor G. Reginald Daniel Memorial Fund has been established to honor his legacy as a teacher, mentor, and pioneering scholar of Critical Mixed Race Studies. He had a profound impact on generations of students as well as scholars and activists within and beyond the university. Gifts to the Fund will support graduate and undergraduate students in the Department of Sociology as well as the ongoing work on Critical Mixed Race Studies.
