Marsha, I take solace in the fact that you are finally resting in peace after your long battle. You were one of the strongest individuals I've met.

1 Corinthians 15:51-54 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory."
Lamar, I hope you know just how much Marsha meant to me. I'm not sure I would've made it through a lot of difficult moments if I wasn't able to suggest a last minute dinner date for the sole purpose of me complaining and Marsha telling the waiter to keep the drinks coming. I adored her and I am so, so unbelievably sorry for your loss.
The world did not deserve the kindness of Marsha. I hope the family finds comfort in their time of grief and loss. I can't imagine the pain you are going through. Please know that we are here for you and that Marsha was so, so loved.

One of my favorite family get togethers was when Marsha and Lamar showed up together at Jacob's house in Indiana! It was the first time Marsha had introduced the family to someone she was dating and you could immediately tell that Lamar was enamored with her. They spent the entire time laughing, poking fun at each other, and telling stories about how they first met. The fact that Lamar kept bragging about how smart and wonderful Marsha was to her own family was hilarious to me. You two were a sight to behold. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Marsha was an absolute force in the field and one of the greatest mentors I could've asked for. Watching her speak at events was always engaging, educational, and extremely inspiring. I had fallen out of love with Business Finance in general, but after seeing her speak at a convention in Dallas, I found myself excited to get back to work. She made the mundane, interesting, and never failed to add humor to an otherwise boring situation. I attended 4 separate conventions she was a guest panelist at and came home from each one with a renewed sense of purpose. Marsha, thank you for everything you did for me and countless others. Rest in peace, you will always be in my thoughts.
Grandma used to take us to Lloyd's every time we visited. She'd always open the door and loudly announce that we'd arrived, Kerry would always get a kick out of it. I think we were one of the only families to have an open tab at an ice cream place. Any time we were out eating downtown, she always happened to know the names of all the waiters and waitresses. I don't know how she could keep track of them all but she did. I miss you Gma.

Please accept our condolences, Thomas family. Marsha was a kind and gentle soul.
I met Marsha at church in 2000 and we became fast friends. She was one of the first people to encourage me to start my business and was also one of my first customers. I am so sorry for the family's loss, I know this must be incredibly hard on Lamar, you were two were absolutely meant to be. Rest in peace Marsha.
Marsha was one of the kindest individuals I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She ran our book club for almost 6 years straight, always welcoming new members and sharing her home with us all. I'm so grateful to have known her and will continue the club in her honor. We love you so much Marsha.
Lamar, I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could do something to ease your pain. Please know that our family is here for you in any way you need during this time. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us, day or night, and remember that we love you. Marsha was a blessing to us all.
