Personal note from Lou's Family
We have been overcome by your kind sentiments and thoughtful gestures over the past several weeks and we deeply appreciate your generous donation to help honor Dad's legacy. Thank you also for the support and comfort you have provided through calling, email, text, and notes, and for sharing beautiful memories of Dad with us. Although we have not been able to be up close and hug, laugh, and share delicious snacks (as Dad would have provided), he would love so much to know that his family is being surrounded with love and care from the people he cherished most. It means so much to feel you all here with us as we wake each day with deep love and deep grief, and to know that in our difficult time we are all still connected because we are all fortunate to have been loved by a beautiful man. Dad gave me this poem once and he lived by these words--"And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy,"--Max Ehrmann, Desiderata. Thank you for contributing to Dad's memory and its preservation. When we are able, will provide an update on the donation and memorial bench. Love to you all,
Kathy, Jennifer, Kallie, Arthur, Mike, Sydney, Skylar, and Hawk.
