Jered Fenner Whealton bravely left his tired body in a room overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, NC on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Just a few years prior, Jered spent days hiking the lower region of that mountain range with his son Killian atop his shoulders having moved inland from the coast where the two had played in the waves of the Atlantic.
