Memorial for Elijah Alan Goertz

Elijah's obituary

Our beautiful and extremely spirited son passed away on March 4th, 2018.
Since birth, along side his identical twin brother Joshua, he commanded a room and lived adventurously. Elijah’s smile brightened everyone’s day and his energy overflowed with life. He was our boy whom we were lucky enough to share with the world. He lived out loud and was always full of love, laughter, and charm. If he could marry music, he would have. Elijah’s spirit, compassion, and love will live on through all those he touched. Elijah never met a stranger. He was always driven by a strong sense of fairness - from standing up to bullies in school to acts of bravery while serving his country. He was an extremely proud CODA and his love for the Deaf community was passionate. He could be stubborn and brash with his brothers Isaiah and Joshua, but his love was fierce and moved the cosmos. Elijah is survived by his mother Amber Galloway Gallego, father - Jose Goertz, twin - Joshua Goertz, younger brother - Isaiah Goertz, baby sisters - Layla-Marie Goertz and Serena Goertz, great-grandparents, grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
