I have known Eileen forever. We have been friends since JHS Jericho HS. She was a wonderful human being and well loved by all. We spent many times together in the city visiting with Christine Kaufmann before she passed away 2014.

My condolences to all. Rest in peace my dear friend.

Love, Lynn Rein Class of 1963- Jericho HS.

Our son Judah meeting Eileen …
Our son Judah meeting Eileen at our place for the first time.
Eileen was my fathers cool cousin. She cursed, said it like it is and knew how to have a good time. Such great qualities! I always enjoyed seeing her at family gatherings and debriefing on the ride home. I saw Eileen a few times recently. I know it was time and that she was suffering but still I wish we had more... I hope you are partying with Elliot and Michelle and feeling good Eileen. You are one in a million and will be missed!
Although I had many cousins, Eileen was closest in age to me so there was always a special relationship. Over the years my wife and daughters families did holiday dinners together with her. The past year or so as she grew weaker she was unable to join us for these holiday dinners. Without her it wasn’t the same. She was a loving person and very bright. She is missed.
What a wonderful soul my cousin had. When she first came to visit England and stay with my family when I was a child and bought sunshine and beauty with her. As a teenager I stayed with her in her NY loft and had many wonderful times. She will now be once again reunited with her beautiful sister Michelle and talented brother Elliot.
Eileen and I met in a Turkish language class at NYU in 1989. We both shared a passion for Turkey. She wound up living there a couple of years in the 90s. And I now live in Istanbul since March 2019. We remained friends and Eileen and I established my direct marketing agency in NYC’s SOHO—I was the writer and she was the art director. The photos I posted were from her 2018 visit to Los Angeles, where I lived 2011-19. We spoke on the phone nearly every week for hours after my move to Turkey, until recently when long talks became difficult for her. We had texted it seems just hours before her passing. I have so many fond memories of laughing and cursing together. She will live in my heart forever.
