Chris's obituary
Chris Lee Wehrle (54) of Denver, Colorado, passed away on January 16, 2023, after a sudden illness.
Chris was born on June 10, 1968, in Davenport, Iowa, and spent his childhood growing up in central Denver. He graduated from Denver East High School and Arizona State University with a degree in communications and was a proud member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He had successful careers in several industries, including roofing, real estate, financial software, and petroleum, and he launched an innovative consumer products company.
Chris passed his love of sports to his two sons, who excel in everything from golf to football to lacrosse. He had many interests and hobbies, but his happiest times were spent with his boys traveling, going to sporting events, golfing, and fishing.
Chris is survived by his adoring sons Jake (16) and Mike (13), their mother Erin, brothers Scott and Beau (Monique), parents Candy (Ward) Phelps and Richard (Pam) Wehrle, and Lee Frary. In addition, he was a fun uncle to many nephews and nieces, including Braxton (24), Peyton (21), Gavin (17), Lauren (13), Alexandra (16), William (7), Clara (3), Murray (5), and Russell (3). He was a great friend to many of us who loved Chris’ passion for fun and adventure.
A “Celebration of Life” ceremony is being planned, and details will be posted when available.
