Memories & condolences

Brian Arceneaux

Carol,

Thank you for allowing our family to walk with you on your final journey, and thank you for choosing our home as your resting place. We are a better family for having you in our house. Carol was an awesome wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, auntie, grandmother, sister in law, and friend.

Thank you to the Sorrento nursing facility in San Antonio. Before Carol became terminally ill, Sorrento transported her to and from her medical appointments, provided her with physical therapy, and transported her back and forth to our house for visits. Their medical staff worked tirelessly to take care of Carol.

Thank you to Elegant Hospice, LLC in San Antonio that helped us care for Carol during her final journey. Their amazing staff of nursing assistants, social workers, chaplains, nurses, and doctors provided Carol and our family with excellent medical care and counseling services on a daily basis.

Thank you to members of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in San Antonio who prayed with and prayed for Carol.

Carol had an amazing support team in San Antonio due to her sister Benita. From picking her up from Mississippi, setting up medical services in Texas, setting up hospice services, setting up medical insurance and social security services, taking Carol on shopping trips, movie nights, buying Christmas gifts, birthday gifts and her favorite snacks, Benita loved taking care of her sister. Benita cared for Carol while overcoming a lack of support and outright disrespect from a few people. She took care of Carol while still being a wife and mother. Benita reminded us that Carol deserved the best from all of us at all times.

Thank you to everyone else I forgot to mention. Your love and support for Carol and our family did not go unnoticed. The supportive phone calls, emails, text messages, and home visits really helped out. My sons will be better fathers and husbands when they get older from being around their auntie Carol.

Fly high with the family members waiting for you on the other side. We love you Carol!

Your brother in law

Benita Arceneaux2021, Sorrento, Babcock Road, San Antonio, TX, USA Carol's pretty little feet. You would have to know her story in order to understand why I posted her pretty little feet. For years, too many years Carol would not let anyone come near her feet. They had not been touched, washed, or anything for years. But with God's help, and great medical care, we changed that. Her feet and her heart were made new. The polish job is not the best because we still had problems with her toe nails. Had we had enough time, that would have been taken care of too. But God called her to a better place.
