In memory of Amy Ruth Trussell

Memories & condolences

J.J. Wilson AMY loved The Sitting Room and came here often to write indoors and out.  The sofa here also comforted her.  Wish I had a picture of her on it, but I do have one in my memory.  J.J. Wilson, for The Sitting Room

MsRosie Rodriguez 👩She was one of 7 prayer partners.
Those 7 grew into hundreds over the years.

We met once every week for up to 2 hours for 23 plus years.

🌹Amy was Devoted to her Spiritual practice. I knew whatever we prayed for... it was done!!

🌹Amy was our Miracle. We watched her heal herself Over and over and over... then came her BIG MIRACLE on June 3 2021... she let go of the body😌
🥰
I believe in Spirit Almighty more than ever because of her strength and endurance.... yet more than that... it was her surrender to the power within her presence.

🥰 Amy ... thank you ... I love you sister always and forever.

🌹Amy, You have joined our other sisters Of Truth, Cindi, Lenore, Omi, Donna Goss and Josie. 💜And My Mama!!

🌹Amy and our Angels,
you can see our world ...
we need your prayer still! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Plz gather the Mastermind Team of Angels and sent us those good VIBS!! We need you all 🙏🏽 I’ll always love you, thank you for making my life the best it can be. 💜💜💜

Shared a heart Red heart
Donna Kuhn "U WERE ALWAYS THERE"

u were always there with babies and tea
u were always there with your long blonde hair
u were always there in the gold and green
hills

u were always there in the city
u were always there when i lost
mothers and children and myself

u were always there with your
words and your dances and
your books and your food

u were always there with a prayer
u were always there with your letters
and your stories

u were always there
in my book, “for amy trussell
who has always been there”

u were there at evan’s funeral
reading the words when i
couldn’t speak or stand or
breathe

u were always there
when it’s time to give
birth

u were there with your
hikes and your stillness
u were always there to
fold laundry and change
diapers

u were there to say
i’m not good at goodbyes
when i moved away
and neither am i.

Danny Phillips Amy and I went to high school together. I have many wonderful memories of time spent together, visiting her and Patrick a couple of times after she moved to San Francisco, and having the pleasure of their visit to my home in Denver, and later, Boston. In recent years we were not not in regular contact but her presence early in my life left an indelible impression - Amy you will always live in my heart.
Patrick, I hope that you and your family are surrounded with much love as I am sure you are. My thoughts are with you and Jasper and Marlon as you grieve the loss of beloved Amy.

Nancy Dougherty I miss Amy horribly, and will treasure our time together, marked by many poems and visits to cafes. She was so full of heart and caring for her friends, she will forever be an inspiration to me. Her voice was pure song, her words magic. My dear friend.
Love and prayers to her family.
Judy Chappell-Bronaugh So sad to hear this news.
I went to high school with Amy!
Prayers to all of her family!

Patrick Hatten Amy and I were married on July 1st, 1984, seven years after we became a couple. The site was the California Rainbow gathering in the Modoc National Forest. We had a clear view of Mt. Shasta and participants had to cross a small glacier to reach our wedding spot. We wrote our own vows and service and friends helped with songs. Two weeks later, on Bastille Day, we repeated the event for family at Armstrong Redwoods and had a reception at Camp Meeker Hall.

Margaret Rooney I miss Amy. Silence fills me now and sorrow, and the stir of memory..her light in the dark, her voice in the wilderness, her smile that lifted my heart.
She was dear to me, a friend, a fellow traveler in search of revelatory language, a poet.
I love her and miss her forever.
