Samaritan has been horrible throughout COVID. My grandmother isn’t getting her medications or ostomy supplies. When we call asking for ostomy supplies they said “if it leaks just hold a towel against it and wait”. It has been a week since we asked. Our nurse left and we never got another one. Nursing only comes in as needed or once every other week. The nurse didn’t even know how to take her staples out and they waited too long so she was in so much pain. Choose another company.

I'm very upset and disappointed with samaritan hospice. They never policed or investigated on how things happened and why? My daughter wasn't getting her meds and that was never addressed. Lastly my daughter passed 12:30am July 28 and no one from samaritan has reach out to me yet to offer their condolences or even to see if we need counseling.

My father revived in home care from Samaritan. From the home health aid to the assigned nurse to the dispatchers on the phone, everyone provided the most attentive and thoughtful care. It made the most difficult experience of my life more manageable. I will never forget their care.

Samaritan assisted my family with my 98 year-old mother's passing, and we are so grateful for their help. The hospital bed and all supplies were delivered in a timely fashion. All of the staff were compassionate and professional, and were happy to answer all of our questions, which couldn't have been easy, since there were three of us sitting with my mother at various times. They were excellent at adjusting the timing and dosages of medications to keep my mother comfortable and our schedules less hectic. We had to request an unscheduled visit on very short notice, on a weekend, and they came through for us like heroes! My sister had witnessed Samaritan's wonderful home hospice care three times before, with her friends and their elderly parents, and she was so impressed that we had decided to use their services if/when necessary for our mother. I'm really glad we did.

My grandmother was recently at Virtua Mt. Holly Hospital following a fractured hip. During her stay, she started to decline due to lung issues and my family made the tough decision to move her to the Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice Center at the hospital. From the moment I walked through those doors, I felt a sense of calm and comfort. The atmosphere and, more importantly, the staff put you at ease during one of the most difficult times a family can endure - being faced with the imminent passing of a loved one. All patients have a large, private room and compassionate nurses to care for them 24/7. My grandmother passed just two days after we moved her to Samaritan. During those two days, she was made comfortable, re-positioned frequently, checked in on, and treated with care and respect. My family was able to use the kitchen and sitting areas, speak with staff to have all of our questions and concerns addressed, and grieve when needed. We didn't know what to expect when she was transferred there, but I now know that I wouldn't have wanted her to be anywhere else during her transition from this life. Thank you, Samaritan.
