My wife had second-time cancer, and doctors gave her two years at best. She chose hospice instead of treatment, since with and without treatment the years-to-live is the same. The nurses of Hospice and Palliative care did a great job, gave her excellent care, and did everything to keep her off pain. The nurses developed great friendship with my wife. She lived 19 months, as opposed the doctor's predicted 'two-years-at-best'. Hospice and Palliative Care is a great organization with a great group of dedicated nurses.

I cannot speak to the level of care at this facility but I did inquire about my fathers options regarding potentially being admitted here and spoke with Tracy Mccosh. She was totally amazing taking time to let me know my options regarding my dad. She took the time to listen to my brother and my situation and was able to guide me to the best possible scenario. All I can say is thank you, for your time, your patience, your empathy, you are truly an employee that does not come along very often. If she is emblematic of what your facility has to offer I hope to be able to have my father there.

Unbelievable. I contacted them for a self referral for my aging mother that is in immense discomfort and pain, with five Cohen occurring diseases. I explained that I did not want to rely on the channels of positions at the hospital to make the referral because that process takes far longer than we can live with. I requested a self referral, and was told that they don’t have any urgent options available, even for self pay. I asked if there Was any options at all that could help us get my mother some relief in an expedited manner, and was pretty much just told no sorry we can’t help you.

My girlfriend had a great uncle in this place and their family has told me nothing but horror stories about the staff. They say that nurses there spend more time on their smart phones that they do actually caring for patients. The great uncle said every time he went to ask a nurse for something they had their nose in their phone, usually on social media. Family members said the same thing. And the nurses would get annoyed that they had been interrupted. The management here really needs to do something, perhaps even ban staff from having phones while on duty.

Hospice was so amazing and was there when we needed them. They made sure her Grandbabies understood about everything going on.

My family was hesitant to request hospice for my Dad. We just didn’t know what to expect. Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region was nothing short of amazing. His primary nurse (Brittany) checked in with us almost daily, if I had a question about anything all I had to do was call and someone always called back immediately, and if something unexpected arose, they were here to tend to him. They also showed great concern for us, his family. I will never be able to thank you enough for making the hardest time in our lives a little easier to bear. Thank you for allowing me to honor my Dads wishes of passing at home. Without ALL of you, we wouldn’t have been able to do that. I am a hospice advocate for life. Thank you for all that you do. You’re all amazing!
