The facilities look nice from their website...
However that doesn't matter if you aren't getting to experience it. I'm a first time (and at my age probably only time father-to-be. The communication and policy information/enforcement provided to us has been extremely disappointing. Due to Covid-19 policies, I was only allowed in one of the now five ultrasounds. On two of the occasions, we were told that I would be able to be in the ultrasound to see my baby and share that experience, only to be told at check-in the day of that I actually wasn't allowed to be in the ultrasound but could "wait in your car" or even better "there's a Starbucks on the first floor"....
It is frustrating and frankly hurts that I am not able to experience these once in a lifetime moments with my partner. At this point, I fully expect to be told I'm not allowed on in the delivery room when the big day arrives. I understand being careful due to Covid-19, but it's unacceptable that the receptionists are either a) lying to us when we make the appointments (that I then take off work for weeks to months in advance) or b) too lazy/inconsiderate to make a note about whether or not I will be permitted to attend, thus giving us conflicting information on a regular basis.
They need to take some ownership and hold themselves accountable for their decisions and communication of those decisions. Doing that would at least lessen the blow of repeatedly being shown zero compassion or respect.

I am so impressed with this hospital, especially the Cobble Hill Emergency Room. They provide quality, caring medical treatment. Patients are treated like individuals with feelings, needs and concerns. Prior to my visit to NYU Langone Cobble Hill, I wasn't sure that level of care still existed in hospitals operating in today's health care environment.

I brought my mom to the er for two days in a roll. On the first day, they sent her home with a blood sugar count above 250, and initially, her blood sugar was 500. I brought her in again today. Her blood sugar count was above 450. The nurse Allie did not know and gave me no comfort at all that my mom will be ok. The Dr on the call said people could usually deal with a blood sugar count over 300. I understand that it is a pandemic, and my mom is at high risk. I left here, frustrated and angry.

Dr. Lim, who is my cardiologist, in the Community Heart Hospital, is one of the best specialists I have ever experienced. His care and the attention received from his staff is beyond excellent. I would recommend this doctor and his staff to anyone.
