I found Capital through online research and the wonderful reviews on Google. I do not normally write reviews but I feel as though I have to say something because I want to be able to help someone else who might be in the situation I found myself in before I found Capital. My mom's health was rapidly declining due to an aggressive cancer and along with my sister and our dad, we did not have anyone else's support. Once her oncologist learned that her treatment wasn't working, he basically gave up on her and no one reached out to check on her status or offer help. It was such a difficult time. I found Capital because I was researching hospice facilities that take BCBS, my mom's insurance. After reading the Google reviews and calling the office, I knew these people would be able to help me. I called after hours, and someone walked me through the options and next steps ... even though it was 9 pm. I expressed my concerns and felt heard - we were even offered to work with a nurse who specialized in cancer care. The nurse (Jennifer King) was able to quickly come visit us at home and explain how she can help us through hospice care. She wore a mask and removed her shoes and was always careful around my mom. She was always available by phone, which gave me such relief when I would be able to just text her a question. Also, our family definitely felt some stigma around hospice care, as I am sure many people experience. Dr. Bruce Blacker came to see my mom and made her feel so comfortable. He was very compassionate and kind and it was the first time I saw my mom speak to a doctor and seem like she really trusted him. After feeling abandoned by her oncologist, the Capital care team made us feel like we mattered. Medicine and equipment arrived super fast and we never waited for a response. Looking back at the horrible situation of having to witness a loved one dying, I cannot imagine not having Capital there to help us through it. I highly recommend them and I hope someone who is struggling with making a decision to start hospice care for a loved one sees this and it brings them some hope and sense of peace. Thank you again Capital team.

When Capital Hospice staff started taking care of him, the nursing home staff and I have noticed that his health started improving dramatically and he is much happier. After few months on their servides he graduated form hospice services and we were able to take him home. I would like to thank Capital Hospcie staff for extraordinary care, time, effort and love that was given to my grandpa that is turning 97 years old this year and is enjoying his life.
