Shelley Cartwright — I have been an employee of Apex Hospice for more than five years. It always saddens me to see that the web and media is able to be used by previous employees to display their anger. No one ever is to blame for their own termination, but that does not mean that the agency did not care or try to work... Read more through the problems, sometimes they just are not workable.
I know everyone who has posted negative comments about the agency I work for and there is a conflict of interest for each one. It is not like posting a restaurant review, these are hard working, caring professionals who do, regardless of personal angry reviews, that have dedicated their lives to take care of patients and if I may say so, they are doing it well.
I am grateful to be an employee of Apex and if I should ever leave willing or upon termination, I will always appreciate the care I have seen them give. Read less

Faith Seroy — I worked for this company for 8 months, and my day to day doing were ok. I went to work did my job and went home. There was change in management several times during my stay with the company. There was a high turnover in nurses, which caused angst in families because there was no regard to consistent... Read more staff. This causeany revocations. When you are fire from this company you are blindsided. I had gone through alot of loss myself while working here, and I am thankful the company gave me bereavement and took a collection for me, which was nice. After that I had dedicated myself to the company saying that I would not leave and even tailored my degree toward working up to advancement in the company. Again I reiterate most staff are blindsided by being let go. I had no write-ups, or anything, neither did some of the other nurses when they got fired too. They fire you because they already have someone to replace you. Many of the staff was really upset when they let me go because I was good I what I did. I had many employees calling me for days in awe that they let me go. I feel it was unfair and unjust. Read less

Karen Mercer — Hospice is about an individualized plan of care in which apex hospice does not deliver. My cna was on vacation and on Wednesday after not hearing anything from apex I called and was told there was a death. I understand however I was not called prior to this Medicare provides and pays for this service.... Read more Staff visits last about 15 minutes. Really gives hospice a bad name. Diane the hospice supervisor was rude and I made the decision to switch to another hospice. With so many caring hospices, please do not select this one for your loved one Read less

Amanda Halley — When my mother became sick late last September, the doctors recommended hospice. My mom was tough and not ready to stop fighting, so palliative care was our best option. Apex went above and beyond to provide additional support (which is normally only available to hospice patients) since I was also 10... Read more weeks pregnant and physically and emotionally drained. They handled every step with compassion and professionalism. Once we finally made the transition to hospice, the doctors, nurses and staff pushed to have extra equipment here quickly. They still follow up and check in on me, which is a nice touch. Losing someone you love, especially as quickly as we did is just devastating. Apex did everything imaginable to help with that transition. Read less
