Claire — My father recently passed away from heart failure. First, the hospice nurses provided him with compassionate and excellent care while he was still in his own home. They took on a big burden of care, providing relief from his longtime partner, who was exhausted and unable to keep up. I live far away... Read more from Fayetteville, and the Hospice nurses were excellent in keeping me updated on my dad's situation. They were patient, generous with their time and stayed on the line until they answered all my questions. Later, when Dad was transferred to the Hospice House, his longtime partner was able to stay in an adjoining room to be close to Dad - which was HUGE. The compassion in the voices of all with whom I spoke (nurses, doctor, receptionist) comforted me and other family members. Read less

Read morethe Hospice Home we were greeted by a group of remarkable professionals who got us settled in and comfortable. My husband said, "I think I'm going to like my new home". The facility is designed to not only provide the best possible care for our loved ones but, for the greatest comfort for the families as well. Our family was given the opportunity to love our husband, father, grandfather without all of the stress of trying to provide the things that were medically necessary for his comfort. We were able to celebrate our 52nd wedding anniversary, Christmas and New Years with our family, friends and the staff of this beautiful facility. I will be eternally grateful for the friendships I have as the result of my husbands loving care. Today I have the privilege to serve as a Hospice Volunteer for Washington Regional Hospice! Washington Regional Hospice is the oldest Hospice in the state of Arkansas. They have the very best Physicians, Nurses, CNA's and housekeepers available because of their vast experience in the field of Hospice care! Thank you for your loving care of my family! Read less

Jay Cantrell — 5 years ago, my wife's father, as he was nearing the end of his life, had the privilege to be one of the first patients at the WRMC Willard Walker Hospice Home. The care and compassion he received from everyone there was extraordinary, but just as wonderful as the care they gave him, was the wonderful... Read more love and kindness they showed toward his family. They worked hard to be sure that both his and our needs were met. Because of my personal experience with this outstanding organization, I have continued to be involved as a volunteer. Five years later, they're still providing that caring level of service to patients and their families just as they did with my family. They are truly angels on Earth! Read less

Clif Ruddick — If your dying loved one is still a bit cantankerous, this hospice hospital has no compassion, no tolerance and no desire to help your family. Our dad is dying of an inoperable brain tumor which makes him suffer from terminal delirium, but the nurses and social workers here have little training in how... Read more to order powerful sedatitives. These nurses can't deal with dying men who also suffer delirium. Their approach is to persistently call the family to try to "revoke" the dying patient from their care. Seems unethical. Evidently, these nurses and social workers are ill equipped at requesting sedatives from the hospice physicians. We are very, very dissatisfied with the Willard Walker Hospice Home due to the nurses' poor training in how to arrange sedatives for patients with severe anxiety. I would not recommend this facility.
