Overview from the funeral home

The Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel of Schepp Family Funeral Homes is located just south of the village of Manlius on NYS Route 92, the Cazenovia Road (just across the street from Suburban Park Apartments, years ago the site of the amusement park). Easy to find on Manlius’ main street, our family funeral home is nestled in a residential area developed on the site of the historic Manlius School. There is a spacious parking area to the sides of the funeral home immediately adjacent to the main entrance offering ample off-street parking. The rear exit to side streets offers even more parking for exceptionally large funeral services.

Wilber “Bud” Newell joins Mr. Goodfellow in 1946, purchases the business in 1952 and offers funeral services from a home on Academy Street. He then purchases the former Baptist Church parsonage on Pleasant Street to create the Newell Funeral Home.
