Official prices for a Burial with a Viewing, Embalming, and a Traditional Service

Basic services This is the fee for the basic organizational services that the funeral home will provide. This fee is generally mandatory.	$1,800
Transportation of the deceased This is the fee for the funeral home to come pick up your loved one and bring him/her to the funeral home for preparation.	$350
Embalming This is the fee for the embalming process. Embalming is generally not required if proper refrigeration is available.	$750
Staff for viewing or visitation This is the fee for the services the funeral home will provide during a visitation or viewing. This is generally required if you would like to hold a viewing and visitation at the funeral home or if you will be needing any assistance from the staff.	$300
Staff for funeral or memorial service This is the fee for the services the funeral home will provide during a funeral or memorial service. This is generally required if you would like to hold the service at the funeral home or if you will be needing any assistance from the staff for the service.	$300
Staff for graveside service This is the fee for the services the funeral home will provide during a graveside service. This is generally required if you will be needing any assistance from the staff for the service.	$400
Use of a hearse This is the fee to transport your loved one from the funeral home to funeral events (or between events) in a hearse.	$300
Body prep This is the fee for additional preparation of the body, such as dressing and casketing.	$250
Casket This is the cost to purchase a casket from the funeral home. You may choose to purchase a casket online or elsewhere, if you'd wish.	$2,000 - $2,600
Burial vault This is the cost to purchase a burial vault from the funeral home. A burial vault is required for most cemeteries, but you may choose to purchase one online or elsewhere, if you'd wish.	$1,300
Flowers This is a common price to purchase funeral flowers. You may purchase flowers through the funeral home or separately, if you wish.	$300
Printed programs This is the fee to purchase printed funeral programs. You may purchase programs through the funeral home or elsewhere, if you wish.	$150 - $600

Corenia Murphy — DO NOT ORDER FLOWERS from the website listed on the page. Go directly to the LOCAL florist. First, there is a $25 service fee. Second, the price of flower fluctuates. I selected best for my flower, and it was $87. An hour later I was on the page about to place another order and it was $77. I click on... Read more another person's obituary to see if the price was scammy and their price for the same flower was $112!! Red flag and I just kept my current order. I ordered flowers on 10/06 for a funeral that was on 10/07. This disclaimer at the end of the payment stated that the flowers would be delivered on time by the time of the Wake.

At the viewing/funeral, the flowers were not there. I called Wiseman inquiring about this flower that we just spent $100+ on. The woman on the phone said "oh, they are going to be delivered at the house" Say what ?! Flowers are funerals and then the family takes it home. She says that she will call me back to see what's going on. By the time the funeral is over, burial, and family and friends are at the repast. I phone Wiseman again to see what in the world is going on. She answers saying she was just about to call me! Let's me know that the florist is saying she doesn't have my order, but on the page, you can see that it was bought and the message that was left.

She gives me a number and I called Angelic Floral. She insists that she doesn't have the number and maybe I deviated off the page and ordered on a different site. I did NOT. I selected send flowers directly from the funeral homes website hence my message and name appearing on the website. She then gives me 800 number to call. I call and leave a voicemail. I sent an email, and I followed back up with another call at 5:50 before the place all the way in MASSACHUSETTS closed. A man answers, stating that he was JUST about to call me. He looks up my order and says oh the flowers went to Rainbow Florist and not Angelic Florist. He says that sometimes the system sends flowers to any florist listed on the page ( there aren't any listed BTW). However, if the Rainbow Florist received that order why didn't they deliver to the service and why didn't the funeral home know which florist receive what order. I'm calling around to all these people. I also asked him about the different pricing for the same flower and he says it just does that sometimes. (RED FLAG)

The guy doesn't want to give me a discount on the flower that still hasn't been delivered as of 10/10 - 10:00am! He says we will refund the service fee and I have yet to receive the $25 back. Again, just call directly to the LOCAL florist and order directly from there. The website is a scammy, you can live out of state thinking your flower is at the funeral and whole time it's not there and you spent over $100. Hopefully the funeral home will just eliminate the use of this website all together and partner with a LOCAL FLORIST. Because if my flower isn't at the family's house by tomorrow, I will be demanding a full refund. Read less
