phyllis moore — My relatives temporary grave marker gone . We placed this marker so we can visit and place flowers on his grave until his headstone is purchased. We have the lot number, section and grave number; but the grave yard isnt kept clean. There were several liquor bottles on a grave and plenty of trash. So disappointed with the way the City of Charlotte takes care of the dead given the amount they're charging for a grave.

Trinity Facciolo — Wonderful cemetery. Normally I prefer cemeteries and graveyards with more history, but the scenery here made it very worth it. I’m a fan of the mausoleum — you can’t get in on your own; you have to call the Oaklawn Mausoleum Association so they can let you in. There are a great number of photography opportunities here. I spent around four hours here in complete peace.

Diana Parker — My family's plots have been in Oaklawn since the 1800's, my uncle was the last to be buried there in 1999. The neighborhood has gotten so bad I cannot visit any of my family. My great, great grandmother, my great grandmother and great grandfather, my grandmother and grandad, 3 uncle's, 2 great aunts, 1 aunt and several cousins. It's such a shame that it's to dangerous for me to lay flowers or pay respect. Wish the city would do something because it is a beautiful part of mine and Charlotte's history.

After a lengthy search I found Oaklawn cemetery very clean open space and convenient the cheapest in Charlotte North Carolina for space.. staff very considerate kind and caring we've decided to purchase family plot in this area .very good experience doing a hurtful time..
